Committees

Resuscitation Australia has a variety of Committees that help with training, education, assessment, research and much more. Resuscitation Australia encourages registered health providers to become involved in its activities, including through working groups and advisory committees. Subject matter experts volunteer to serve on our Committees, sharing knowledge, best-practice and shaping Resuscitation Australia’s priority areas and these Committee members are appointed for a two-year term.

Opportunities are advertised through the Resuscitation Australia newsletter. Committee meetings are arranged in consultation with participants and generally held by teleconference or webinar.

The Clinical Application Committee ensures the clinical accuracy and compliance of Resuscitation Australia’s Advanced Life Support (ALS) training programs. Meeting once each quarter, it oversees alignment with ILCOR and ANZCOR Guidelines and NSQHS Standards, ensuring best-practice resuscitation education. The committee reviews training materials, monitors effectiveness, and recommends updates based on emerging clinical evidence. Members include medical and clinical professionals specialising in resuscitation, compliance, and education.

Meeting once each quarter, it ensures training aligns with best practices, instructional design principles, and the latest clinical research. The committee supports professional development for healthcare providers, evaluates training effectiveness, and integrates innovative teaching methodologies. Members include clinical educators, instructional designers, and emergency and critical care specialists.

Meeting once each quarter, it reviews course content for relevance and facilitates participation from medical colleges and oversees credentialing processes. Members include experts in CPD accreditation, emergency and critical care professionals, and representatives from medical colleges.
