Welcoming Mater Hospital Sydney to Our Network of Accredited Course Centres

Resuscitation Australia is pleased to welcome Mater Hospital Sydney as part of St Vincent’s Health Australia to our growing network of Accredited Course Centres.

“We’re absolutely delighted to announce Mater Hospital Sydney will begin facilitating Resuscitation Australia’s ALS2 courses from 1 August 2026,” said Ebony-Maria Levy, CEO of Resuscitation Australia.

“Meeting Merrin, Belinda and the team, and seeing their training facilities first-hand, left no doubt that the Mater shares our commitment to excellence in resuscitation education. What struck us most during our visit was the energy and care the team brings to their important work. We look forward to nurturing a collaborative partnership with the L&D team at the Mater as they continue to increase access to ALS training in Sydney.”

The blended learning format of Resuscitation Australia’s ALS courses combines flexible online theory with hands-on, scenario-based practical sessions, ensuring participants develop the knowledge and skills to manage life-threatening emergencies with confidence. With thanks

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr Merrin Thanopoulos in her capacity as Emergency Care and JMO Education Coordinator, and Belinda MacNamara, Learning & Development Coordinator at Mater Hospital, for their engagement throughout this process. Resuscitation Australia’s CEO, Ebony-Maria Levy, and ALS Course Coordinator, Kirrilee Stanton, had the great pleasure of meeting Merrin and Belinda at the Mater Hospital on 10 June 2026, and enjoyed their tour of the Mater‘s training facilities.
