RA Accreditation Pathway

Course Centre Accreditation Criteria

Resuscitation Australia is the national expert in resuscitation education, accrediting Course Centres committed to clinical excellence and best-practice resuscitation techniques. Accreditation ensures your Course Centre meets Resuscitation Australia’s high standards.

  • Commitment to Excellence: Demonstrate capability and commitment to delivering RA-developed training.
  • Compliance: Adhere to RA’s Code of Conduct, Grievance Procedure, Quality Assurance Framework, and other policies.
  • Accreditation Program: Complete the online Course Centre Accreditation application form, followed by an interview.

RA critically reviews prospective Course Centres on:

  • Student Performance Management: Maintain accurate and timely management of student performance and credentialing.
  • Security: Ensure IT and information security throughout the training lifecycle.
  • Student Experience: Deliver positive, inclusive, and diverse student experiences.
  • Instructor Management: Attract and retain qualified instructors, including RA-accredited ones.
  • Student Registration: Manage student upload and registration efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Consult with students and use feedback to enhance training systems.
  • Course Administration: Administer registration and course access effectively.

Any registered entity in a legally recognised jurisdiction intending to facilitate Advanced Life Support training can apply for RA accreditation.

Nominate an Authorised Representative as the official contact with RA. This representative must complete the Course Centre Accrediation application form before proceeding to the interview stage.

  1. Review and Submit: Review RA’s accreditation process and criteria. Submit the Application for Accreditation via the website, including supporting documents.
  2. Accreditation Interview: After preliminary review, an RA Accreditation Specialist may invite you to an Accreditation Interview to assess suitability and clarify any questions.

Accreditation applications are processed within 3-5 business days, and successful applicants are scheduled for an interview within 7-10 days, typically conducted virtually.

We encourage prospective Course Centres to contact Resuscitation Australia for any questions about the accreditation criteria.
