FAQ
Should I have completed an ALS2 course as a candidate prior to enrolling in the IAP?
Yes, we do request that IAP candidates have completed an ALS2 course prior to enrolling in the IAP. For those candidates who have only completed ALS1 yet feel they hold the desire and interpersonal skills required to be a successful instructor, please keep an eye out for future ALS1 Instructor dates. ALS2 Instructors are eligible to teach on both ALS1 and ALS2 courses.
Do I need to attend the two day course in-person?
Yes, all Instructor Accreditation Program candidates must successfully complete the two day IAP course in-person, at a location of their choice, before proceeding to their Instructor Candidate Placements.
What do I receive upon successful completion of the IAP?
Upon completion of the IAP, including successful completion of the 2 day course and the 2 x Instructor Candidate Placements, candidates will receive Resuscitation Australia Instructor status, including digital certification accessible via your digital wallet. RA instructors are eligible to instruct on ALS courses, as developed by Resuscitation Australia.
