New agreement to bring paediatric and neonatal resuscitation courses to Accredited Course Centres

Resuscitation Australia has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Australian Clinical Education Services Pty Ltd (ACES), establishing an exclusive partnership that will make specialist resuscitation courses available through Resuscitation Australia’s national network of Accredited Course Centres for the first time.

The agreement covers Paediatric Advanced Life Support Level One (PALS1), Paediatric Advanced Life Support Level Two (PALS2), Neonatal Resuscitation with Advanced Life Support (NRwALS), and Specific Training in Resuscitation for Mental Health.

For Resuscitation Australia’s growing network of Accredited Course Centres, the partnership means access to specialist training of a standard not previously offered in Australia. For the practitioners those centres train, it means the same standard of paediatric and neonatal resuscitation education, delivered locally, wherever they work.

In July and August 2026, Resuscitation Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Ebony-Maria Levy, and Course Coordinator, Kirrilee Stanton, travelled to Adelaide to observe paediatric and neonatal resuscitation courses in delivery at Calvary Health Care South Australia and ACHA Health hospitals.

“It was a privilege to observe these courses first-hand, on account of their design and rigour, and to witness how transformative the educational experience was for participants” Ms Levy said. “This is a welcome partnership, and one we hope will serve our mission directly: increasing access to high-quality resuscitation education and training across Australia.”

Resuscitation Australia has acknowledged the contribution of Chris Kurt-Gabel, Director of Education and Governance at ACES, in bringing the arrangement together.

“Chris has approached this from the outset with real generosity and a clear focus on what would serve the Australian resuscitation community,” Ms Levy said. “The courses ACES has developed are exceptional, and the decision to make them available nationally reflects a commitment to the sector that deserves recognition. We look forward to what the two organisations can achieve together.”

The memorandum of understanding records the shared intentions of both organisations and the key terms on which they propose to proceed. The parties will now work towards a definitive licence agreement.
