Resuscitation Australia’s Instructor Accreditation Program Now Recognised by ACRRM Under 2026-2028 CPD Framework

Resuscitation Australia (RA) is pleased to announce that its Instructor Accreditation Program (IAP) has been formally accredited by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) under the 2026–2028 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Framework.

Following submission and review, ACRRM has confirmed accreditation of the following activity:

ACRRM ID: 39371
Class Name: Resuscitation Australia Instructor Accreditation Program

This recognition represents a significant milestone for Resuscitation Australia’s educator development pathway and affirms the academic rigour, clinical relevance, and educational quality underpinning the Instructor Accreditation Program. The IAP is designed to equip experienced clinicians with the pedagogical capability, assessment literacy, and faculty leadership skills required to deliver high-quality Advanced Life Support education across diverse clinical settings.

Importantly, this accreditation strengthens access for rural and remote clinicians seeking to formalise their ALS instructor credentials while maintaining compliance with their professional CPD obligations.

CPD Allocation

This event has been accredited in the 2026–2028 ACRRM CPD Program for:

• 9.5 Educational Activity Hours
• 22.5 Performance Review Hours

Participants who complete the Instructor Accreditation Program and nominate ACRRM as their CPD Home are advised to contact Resuscitation Australia directly so that their attendance can be appropriately recorded and reported. Please provide your full ACRRM member number and name to enable Resuscitation Australia to report attendance to ACRRM on your behalf by contacting our Course Coordinator, Kirrilee Stanton at coordinator@resuscitationaustralia.com.au.

This development marks the second formal college recognition of the Instructor Accreditation Program under the national CPD Framework, following earlier accreditation by the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM). Dual-college recognition further reinforces the program’s cross-specialty relevance and its contribution to building a sustainable, highly skilled resuscitation educator workforce across Australia.

Resuscitation Australia remains committed to advancing excellence in resuscitation education through robust instructor training, contemporary educational design, and alignment with national professional standards.
