    4. Changes to the Course Schedule

Resuscitation Australia reserves the right to make alterations to the course schedule, including cancellations, without prior notice, under the following circumstances:

  • Schedule Changes: We may amend the advertised content of any course or change the course schedule if necessary.
  • Venue Changes: We may change the venue from what was initially advertised.
  • Course Postponement: Courses may be postponed due to natural disasters, public unrest, pandemics, or other significant events outside of our control.

    5. Liability

  • Alterations and Cancellations: Resuscitation Australia will not be liable for any losses or expenses, including consequential losses, arising from any alterations to the course schedule, changes to course content, venue changes, or course cancellations.
  • Minimum Participant Requirements:
All IAP courses require a minimum scenario simulation group size of six participants. The training exercises and simulations cannot be optimally performed with fewer than six participants. Therefore, if the minimum number of participants is not met, the course may be cancelled or rescheduled. In the event of such a cancellation, individuals with confirmed bookings will be offered:
  • Alternative course dates, or
  • A full refund.

    6. Attendance and Late Arrivals

  • Full Attendance Required:
Participants must attend all course sessions in full. This ensures that you receive the complete learning experience and meet the requirements for course certification.
  • Late Arrivals:
Late arrivals will not be admitted to the course. Any late arrival will be considered a cancellation without notice, and 100% of the course fee will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Travel Arrangements:
Resuscitation Australia is not responsible for any travel disruptions, delays, or other circumstances beyond your control that result in non-attendance. It is your responsibility to plan your travel to ensure timely arrival for all course sessions.

    7. Pre-requisites and Accreditation

  • Program Pre-requisites:
At the time of registration for the IAP, candidates must hold current AHPRA registration, in addition to ALS2 certification from Resuscitation Australia or the Australian Resuscitation Council.
  • Accreditation
To obtain Resuscitation Australia Instructor Accreditation, candidates are required to fully attend and complete the two-day Instructor Accreditation Program (IAP) course. Additionally, candidates must successfully complete two Instructor Candidate placements on Resuscitation Australia Advanced Life Support courses, with each placement formally signed off by the designated Course Director(s). Please note that accreditation will only be issued once all components, including attendance, placements, and sign-off, have been satisfactorily completed.
  • Resuscitation Australia Accreditation
Successful IAP candidates will receive accreditation from Resuscitation Australia, authorising them to teach on ALS courses as developed by Resuscitation Australia. Please note that this accreditation is specific to Resuscitation Australia courses, and Resuscitation Australia makes no representation or guarantee that this accreditation permits candidates to instruct on courses developed by any other organisation.

By booking a course with Resuscitation Australia, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Cancellation Policy.
